Hub Club Presents… Level Up!
Service Description
A free confidence-building day for children and young people aged 8+ Would your child benefit from a relaxed and supportive day to build confidence, meet others and prepare for the return to school? The end of the summer holidays can bring mixed feelings. Some children may be excited, while others may be thinking about friendships, fitting in, starting a new class or school, or simply getting back into a routine. Taking place one week before schools return, LEVEL UP! has been created to help children and young people feel more confident, make connections and approach their next step feeling a little more prepared. The day is suitable for those aged 8 and over, whether they are returning to primary school, going into S1 or continuing through secondary school. During the day, they will have opportunities to: ⭐ Meet and connect with others ⭐ Recognise their strengths ⭐ Explore friendships, confidence and belonging ⭐ Think about practical ways to manage worries ⭐ Work together through shared challenges ⭐ Identify the people they can turn to for support Through games, conversation, creative tasks and team challenges, the day will be welcoming, relaxed and enjoyable. It is not a sports programme and will not feel like another day in the classroom. Children and young people can participate at their own pace and in ways that feel comfortable for them. No one will be forced to speak in front of the group or share anything they do not want to share. A free pre-event online call with Mike is available for parents, carers or young people who would find it helpful. This provides an opportunity to ask questions, discuss worries or support needs and help the young person feel more comfortable before the day. The day will also be supported by High Life Highland Young Leaders. The programme has been designed and will be led by Mike Ogden, Counsellor and Psychotherapist, with more than 25 years’ experience supporting children, young people and families. 📅 Wednesday 12 August 2026 🕙 10:00am–4:00pm 📍 Ardersier War Memorial Hall 🍎 A light snack and refreshments will be provided Thanks to funding from Foundation Scotland through the Haventus Port of Ardersier Fund, the day is completely FREE. We cannot promise to take away every worry, but we can help children and young people leave feeling a little more confident, connected and ready for their next step.
